Esta investigación se propuso evaluar la eficacia de un programa psicoeducativo, derivado del "Modelo APA (Amigos-Padres- Amantes) para la armonía conyugal", para mejorar los conocimientos sobre la relación de pareja, la motivación para vivir una gratificante relación conyugal, la habilidad para controlar sus propias reacciones (autocontrol), la habilidad para comunicarse (expresarse y escuchar) y la habilidad para comprender a su pareja (ponerse en el lugar de ella).

Se estudiaron 50 parejas convocadas a través de radio, prensa escrita y televisión por medio de avisos que promocionaban un seminario para mejorar la comunicación y fortalecer la intimidad. Se encontró que cerca del 80% reportan cambios positivos después de participar en el programa.

ABSTRACT

This research evaluate the effectiveness of a program, that derivatives from the APA model (Friends-Parents-Lovers) for matrimonial harmony, to improve the knowledge of the couples relation, the motivation to live a rewarding couple relationship, the ability to control their own reactions (auto control), the ability to communicate (to express themselves and to listen) and the ability to understand their partner (to put themselves in the others place).

There were 50 couples studied, summoned by radio, written press and television by means of advertisement that promoted a seminary to improve the communication and to fortify the intimacy. It was found that near 80% of them reported positive changes after participating in the programo
